Ingate Systems produces and sells the world's first SIP-capable enterprise firewalls and SIParators™, a device that connects to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable the traversal of SIP communications. A joint venture between Intertex Data AB and Cendio Systems AB, Ingate Systems has a 25-year heritage of developing secure communications technology. Ingate Systems AB is located in Stockholm and Linköping, Sweden and its wholly owned subsidiary, Ingate Systems Inc., is located in Hollis, New Hampshire. Intertex Data AB

The Swedish company with 18 years’ experience of telecommunications and high quality communication and security products development has a unique know-how, combining real-time and application programming with analogue and digital hardware design skills.

Intertex is currently focusing on the development of the next generation of broadband access products including featured ADSL modems, firewalls prepared for IP-Telephony, home appliance control, presence and instant messaging.

The company's products, oriented to the SOHO market, have been mainly distributed through retailers usually under their brand name. Some examples are Telia as well as About Communication for the Swedish market, and Telecom Italia, British Telecom for the European market.
