Using the snom4S as your Update Server
Procedure to Enable Uploading snom Firmware
and Bootloader from your snom 4S SIP Server
1- Login to the 4S Proxy as administrator
and go to System Settings and turn the act as presence server
to ON.

2- Log into the domain you want to
update the phones by clicking on the Domains hyperlink and then
click on settings
group and add a group. The group name can be anything and
the admin should be a user from the user database. If you
use * then all the users will be members. Once it is created
you do not need to add anything under the group but you
can customize the phones settings for the group i.e. language,
tone scheme time zone, tone and function keys.

3-
Once the group is created then click on software versions
and here is where you can set up the place for the phones
to get their firmware from. In a future release the proxy
server will be able to serve the files but for now we must
use a HTTP server and snoms is available for this. You
will need to put the vendor, product, the accounts and
the firmware
and bootloader location of the firmware. If you don’t
have an HTTP server then use the snom’s for now.
http://www.snom.com/download/share then specify the version.
snom200-202t-SIP.bin and snom200-boot1.9.bin
are the current files we recommend to load in the 200’s.
Then hit save.
