Using BootP to Reset AudioCodes Units:

0. Before you start, search the documentation for "Reset", there is a procedure to reset these gateways to factory defaults manually.

1. Connect a PC to the gateway in one of 2 ways:

    A. The same hub/switch as the gateway with a Straight Cable.

    B. Directly to the gateway with a CrossOver Cable.

2. Set the IP of your PC to 10.1.10.1.

3. Set up BootP preferences like below:

4. Set up a Client like the following:

5.  Reset the gateway with a paper clip in the hole in the front and you should get something like the following:
Be patient, it could take 5 minutes to start downloading firmware.

5. Ping 10.1.10.1x and if you get replies try to browse to that IP.

6. If this doesn't work, try to Reset the IP you are trying to set the gateway to.

This is the button with the RED circle.

If all else fails try to “Packet Sniff”, with www.ethereal.com, to see if it is sending anything out it's ethernet connection. I've found lost static IPs with ethereal. For instance if you see ARP messages for 192.168.1.55 coming from the MAC of that gateway, set your IP to something like 192.168.1.60 with no gateway and you should be able to ping and browse directly to 192.168.1.60 which the gateway was sending out in its ARP messags.
