2013 is but a memory and we start 2014 wtih a bang. In 2014 we are expanding the IP Surveillance practice deeper into Physical Security by introducing IP Access Control in a big way. We carefully selected several leading solutions from world-class manufactures to represent in the IP Access space. Below we learn a little about each one.

Access Control

ISONAS – Their patented PowerNet™ reader-controller provides the first pure IP PoE to the door solution that eliminates the need for a separate power supply, control panel and dedicated hard wiring. Compared to traditional systems that require more equipment, software, labor and maintenance, the total cost of ownership is far less. ISONAS is a US company with headquarters in Colorado with a very accessible support team. We always do a lot of interop testing and ISONAS easily integrates with other systems. Readers support RFID Proximity cards and Smart cards based on MiFare, iClass, and PIV.

Many of our Integrators like the IP side but feel overwhelmed with extensive strike hardware solution sets. To make things easier we partnered with Rutherford Controls (RCI). RCI manufactures a complete line of Locks, Strikes, Exit Devices, Crash Bars, and other accessories. We pre-selected the most convenient units to complete your Access Control Solution. One of our favorites is their F2 series fire rated electrical strike. This unit has low power consumption allowing it to be powered by PoE. What makes this strike unique is the Saw-tooth Adjustment Locator design that allows the installer to move the deadbolt keeper, or plug and deadlatch ramp vertically to align with a wide variety of mortise locks with offset latches. There's no need to order special faceplates, you can adjust the strike to work with any mortise lock. Everything you need is in the box, including a faceplate for centreline latch entry.

Biometric Face Recognition

Stone Lock™ Pro is an extremely fast and accurate infrared biometric facial recognition unit designed for access control applications. Stone Lock™ Passive Interface allows immediate access with no contact; users merely approach facing the unit, with a level of convenience and assurance like nothing else.

Stone Lock™ Pro is fast, accurate, safe, simple, and field proven as a reliable solution for the most critical access control applications. Until you've seen it, it's hard to imagine how impressive it is. Stone Lock™ Pro is extreme rapid accuracy authentication, scanning over 2,000 points on a user in less than a second. With proper enrollment, Stone Lock™ can easily distinguish between identical twins or a difference of expression on your face. It cannot be fooled by any means known. Because of this high level of assurance, Stone Lock™ Pro has been specified into the most serious security applications, including banks, prisons, and military munitions. Stone Lock™ technology consists of an infrared optical system, a circuit board, and proprietary software. It has been designed to easily integrate with popular databases and platforms. The Stone Lock™ Pro unit has a built-in keypad and comes standard with the HID® iClass SE Reader to complement its biometric function as a 3-point access device or for 1:1 enrollment mode. Up to 64 units can be installed and managed on a network.
