snom just announced the snom Open Communication Solution Alliance for Partners that want to focus on Business Telephony.
This alliance network will target the SME market with solutions for:

- Traditional PBX Systems connected to Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007
- IP PBX Systems connected to Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007
- Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 stand alone UC solutionsThe ideal Alliance member will be
- Microsoft Partner specializing on Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007
- Telecommunication traditional and IP-PBX System Integrator
- Focused on SME market

snoms aim:

Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 today is greatly undervalued for the SME market. Namely the standard edition can give companies an easy entry point to UC with very reasonable overall costs.snom already developed the snom OCS Edition which can natively authenticate to a Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 (MS OCS) and publish presence to MS OCS, enabling the customer to see its colleagues telephone presence in his Office Communicator.snom continues to develop a more tight integration in Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 with the snom OCS edition addressing:

- MS OCS phone address book integration
- MS OCS conferencing handling
- MS OCS remote access (home office)

Short term goals:

Address the SME market and offer simple to deploy and easy to maintain UC Solutions i.e. IP ready PBX with snom OCS Edition phone to publish MS OCS presence, Telephony i.e. IP-PBX http://wiki.pbxnsip.com/index.php/Office_Communications_Server with presence and Telephony through pbxnsip and MS OCS Asterisk / Gateway solutions with snom OCS Edition phone to publish MS OCS presence and or Telephony through Asterisk / Gateway family of products

Opening alliance partners in the foreseeable future to enterprise grade projects and customers.
