« snom and Digium renew partnership for Asterisk IP Phones The VARS Challenge & Opportunity in Mastering MS Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging » Automatic Snom phones downgrade from Version 7 to Version 6Many phones in the new batch of Snom phones were shipped with version 7 which is in BETA stage now. Since the downgrade process is not as straight forward as we are used to and involves loading several files to the phone, Snom has created an script that would automate the downgrade process. Below are the instructions for downgrading version 7 to version 6. Please note that this not apply to the 370s which native stable version is 7. Make sure the phone can access the Internet, open the Phone’s GUI and go to advanced then click on updates and in the field “Setting URL” paste the following: http://provisioning.snom.com/from7to6/downgrade.php Save and Reboot. The phone will download and reboot itseld few times. Please be patient, the process takes around 10 minutes. Posted on Friday, November 2nd, 2007 at 10:49 am under TS-FAQ, TS-Snom, VAR Partners.
