Digium announces new hardware for Echo Cancellation VPMADT032. This module, offers 128ms (1024 taps) of echo cancellation across all of its channels, improving upon the older module (VPM100), that only offered 32ms. It provides the same toll-quality G.168 compliant echo cancellation found in Digium's HPEC software-based commercial echo canceller. The VPMADT032 may be used with Digium's twenty-four port (TDM2400P) and with eight-port (TDM800P) analog cards. The bundles that include echo cancellation (model E for TDM2400) will be discontinued and the module will be sold separately.

The Asterisk Appliance is finally shipping. With the new (AA50) Digium is introducing not only a new product but also adding a small twist that has the potential of providing the reseller with a small extra income in the future. 

The AA50 comes in different flavors and offers a VoIP only and hybrid solution (supporting a combination of VoIP trunks and PSTN lines) with up to eight Analog Ports for enterprise customers who need both VoIP and Analog.

The full functionality of Asterisk on a device with 8 analog ports, 4 LAN, 1 WAN, 1 serial port for programming, and a Compact Flash port for local VM storage all up to 25 simultaneous calls.
